Brenda's Custard Slices
Lorna HolandDeliciously creamy custard slices made by Nan's friend Brenda, featuring puff pastry and a special vanilla pudding ice cream filling.
Ingredients
- 1 roll puff pastry
- 1 box vinilla pudding
- 1/2 tub ice cream
Intructions
Preparation
- Pre heat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Unroll the puff pastry and cut rectangles or squares.
- Make the box pudding as normal, but add ice cream with the milk.
Baking
- Bake the rectangles in the oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
- allow the recrangles to cool.
- slice the pastry open, insert the filling
Tips
- Ensure the puff pastry is fully cooled before filling to prevent the custard from melting.
- Experiment with different pudding flavors for a unique twist on the classic custard slice.
